Yeah I thought so. But then you get brought back to reality when you realise that you don’t have that body especially as summer is only round the corner. So why not take action now, why not get in shape so that you become the envy of everyone round the pool this summer? By making small effective changes to your daily life you will literally see the pounds fall off and feel great in the process.
Below I have given you a few tips to follow in order to begin your weight loss programme.
Tip 1: Light Exercise, being active is a key factor to getting fit. You need to make sure that you are active daily. How about walking short journeys instead of driving or getting a taxi? Or what about getting off the bus a stop earlier and walking the rest of the journey. It may sound like too much, but you will easily cover an extra few thousand steps weekly.
Tip 2: Drink Water, hydration is not only a vital part of fitness but one of, if not the vital factor of life. Without water we can not survive. We should be drinking within the region of 2-2.5 litres a day minimum. Don’t let yourself feel thirsty as this is too late, you will already be dehydrated. A 2% decrease in hydration levels can result in 20% decrease in performance and concentration. A good way to check your hydration level is by the colour of your urine, if it is pale to clear then you are well hydrated and if it is a dark and almost brown colour then you are seriously dehydrated.
Tip 3: Keep Motivated, one of the single most difficult factors of getting fit is motivation. Do you ever get that feeling where you wake up and think ‘oh I can’t be bothered today’? I know we all get it but let’s be frank now, if you look at the successful people in life, they don’t just sit around and give up when things get hard do they? They do whatever it takes to get where they want to be and so should you!
